2010 Family Institute of Connecticut Eastern Connecticut Banquet
North Grosvenordale, Conn. – Everyone is invited to the 2010 Family Institute of Connecticut Eastern Connecticut Banquet, at the St. Bernard Council 2087 Knights of Columbus Hall, 1017 Riverside Drive, North Grosvenordale, on Saturday, June 12. Social hour at 5:30, with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Prepared by the Knights of Columbus, the menu will include roast beef, barbecued chicken, baby carrots, backed potato and apple crisp with whipped cream, served family style. The featured speaker will be Family Institute of Connecticut President Peter Wolfgang, who will talk about the Institute’s efforts to promote and defend traditional Judeo-Christian morality in our modern society. Non-Perishable food drive to be held on Saturday, April 17
Helping the needy throughout Northeastern Connecticut
Putnam, Conn. – There will be a non-perishable food drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, at the Cargill Council 64 Knights of Columbus Hall, 64 Providence Street, Putnam.
All food collected will go to the non-profit Project Northeast, to help people in need throughout northeastern Connecticut, so drop off your canned goods and other non-perishable food items on Saturday, April 17.
Monetary donations are also being accepted. Monetary donations may be dropped off or mailed to Fr. Richard L. Archambault, Project Northeast, 81 Church Street, Putnam, CT 06260.

On June 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM, the 4th Degree has been asked by the Plainfield Relay for Life to lead the cancer Survivors for their first lap. We need to be there at 10:30 am.

Putnam steak dinner for seriously disabled vets
Net proceeds to buy van for hospitalized vets in wheelchairs
Putnam, Conn. – There will be a steak dinner on Saturday, August 16, at 7 p.m., at VFW Post 1523, at 207 Providence Street in Putnam.
The menu will include steak, baked potato, salad and roll.
Net proceeds will be used to help the Knights of Columbus throughout Connecticut to buy a handicapped-accessible van for the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in West Haven, Connecticut, for use by hospitalized veterans who are confined to wheelchairs.
Donations to the van fund are also being gratefully accepted.
Tickets are $15 (fifteen dollars) each.
